Alan Hart
Alan Hart is an author, former Middle East Chief Correspondent for Independent Television News, and former BBC Panorama presenter specialising in the Middle East.
I started writing almost accidentally, in order to produce a book that was helpful.
Retiring to Thailand is a major step, and the procedures involved are by no means a cakewalk; however it can be done - with help.
The book I wrote, to try to supply that help; is unsurprisingly entitled:-
"How to retire to Thailand"
After the book started to sell I thought I may have a try at writing a few lines for my Grand Children.
I wrote a whimsical poetic saga about a mythical beast; the dreaded Sporran. Its favourite food is live Haggis.
Then I wrote a poetic fantasy about the world of clocks and the plan of the King of clocks to take over the world.
Then I did a short flight of fancy about a Royal Paper tissue.
The culmination of all this was that I published all three as: -
"Stories aren't always about People"
After that the Idea of writing a story about frogs came upon me; my Granddaughter and her Mum love frogs.
When the first one was finished it seemed insignificant so I did another and yet another and am now writing a fourth.
They are entitled: - "A Frogs Tale", "Frogs at Large" and "Frogs on the Run."
If you read them I hope you get as much enjoyment out of them as I did writing them and doing the supporting sketches.
